A: A 3-D Ultrasound may be performed from 25 – 32 weeks, although the best time is 26 – 28 weeks. The outcome of this type of sonography depends on numerous factors including the individual and fetal position.
A: In most cases the sex of your baby can be determined beginning around 18 weeks of gestation.
A: No, insurance does not cover this type of services. Thus we require cash payment in full prior to services being rendered.
A: Our appointments fill up fast, we highly recommend calling 5-6 weeks in advance.
A: No, a full bladder is not necessary for this type of Ultrasound.
A: We would love for you to bring guests! We ask that you keep it to a maximum of 5 guests per accommodations in our Ultrasound room. Please make sure your guests arrive on time. We try very hard to run on schedule for all of our appointments. We reserve the right to cancel your appointment due to tardiness.
A: 4-D is 3-D plus time, meaning that you will see your baby moving as if you were watching a video.
A: It is imperative that you read through and completely agree with our 3-D Waiver and Release form prior to your appointment (a copy of this waiver is available below). This service is not a diagnostic Ultrasound by any means; therefore your physician will not receive a report from our staff.
A: The best time for the 3-D Ultrasound if you are carrying twins is 23-24 weeks. Our elective 3-D services are not based on the number of babies a customer is carrying; rather, it is based on the amount of time we spend generating images and preparing your selected package. A: Our certified Sonographers are trained and experienced. They will make every effort to get the best picture possible of your child. However, there are some factors beyond our control that affect the outcome, such as:
A: We use the finest technology in 3-D Ultrasound, a Voluson E8 to be exact. Ultrasound technology has a history of over 30 years and has been the subject of numerous clinical studies and has not been shown to cause any harm to mother or baby.
